Intimidation, disregard and disrespect, the calling card of an indifferent and uncaring corporate mindset. David Bissell on numerous occasions is quoted as saying, “All you have to do is tell the installer that you did not wish to have a smart meter”, and “a smart meter will not be installed against anyone’s wishes.”
Has anyone at KIUC made this clear to the hooligans slapping smart meters on homes as fast as they can? What is really going on, and why use inexperienced people and a non-local contractor?
Being that they are not electricians, and are paid by how many meters per day they install, how many safety protocols are being ignored? How can KIUC sanction this dangerous and unprecedented act on our Ohana?
This family never wanted to expose themselves, their children, especially their newborn child to the microwave radiation that smart meters emit on a 24/7 basis. So much for KIUC promises, their deferral form, or David Bissell’s word.
I humbly ask that the ongoing blitz be halted immediately, that all installers are told in no uncertain terms to respect the wishes of the public, whether homeowner or renter, to respect all signs that clearly state a person’s choice of “No smart meter installation”, and not to trespass on private property without permission first.
Will you stand by your word, David Bissell? Will our elected officials finally stand up and protect our rights to health, privacy and safety?
I, for one, will remain silent no more . . .
