Dear Mr. Gegen, as a tireless advocate for personal choice, your comments border on the absurd. You say you have done the research, but by your own admission, you have placed coffee and microwave energy on the same plate, as if both are safe.
You have left out, whether intentionally or not, the most important factor in your claims of safety – exposure. Even water can be toxic and cause death if one drinks too much of it. It’s the same with sunlight, a little is good each day, but over-exposure leads to skin cancer.
To belittle the Class 2B carcinogen list is to belittle the findings that Lead is a dangerous and health destroying toxic metal; the same goes with DDT, gasoline, diesel fuel, and over 80 other carcinogens. Should we not protect ourselves from lead toxicity, since as you say, it’s only a class 2b carcinogen, move along folks, nothing to see here.
As a candidate who was elected to represent the members with promises of change, and yes, I did vote for you, I am appalled to see that the truth of your stance has come to light. You have adopted the smoke and mirrors stance of hiding behind half-truths and misleading associations.
You fail to mention any details of the reasons that these carcinogens made it to the list, as if you alone know what’s best. You say you are a champion for personal choice, and I agree with you there, but when your choices affect me, you sir have crossed the line.
You say it’s important to preserve each other’s rights, “including the right to drink beer, smoke cigarettes”, but not when it endangers others. You do not have the right to drink and drive, nor smoke in my home. Nor do you have the right to force me to drink or smoke with you.
You mention EMF, but nowhere do you clarify that statement that what we are dealing with is microwave frequency energy that smart meters emit. You also fail to mention that this exposure is continuous, 24 /7.
Your most telling omission is the fact that your “smart meter” choice affects my home and family. The microwave frequency energy travels 250 ft. to ¼ mile from the antennas of your smart meter. This is part of how the “mesh network” communicates with each other.
If only you would be honest with the facts that this microwave exposure range is not limited to your own home. I too am an advocate of personal choice, but I do not impose it on others. I choose to limit exposure to protect both myself and my family’s health and wellbeing.
My dad got colon cancer in his fifties, with no family history of cancer. He then was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, again with no family history of such a devastating condition. We did not know back then the effects of the 20 + years of exposure to microwave frequency energy required by his employment.
Smart meters make his exposure but a drop in the bucket, as we are now set to be exposed from every home that has a smart meter on it, 24 /7.
You have no idea of the devastation you are about to unleash . . .
